Although I never asked, I imagine that these fish have been set aside to become fish biltong in the cool sea breeze. I'm South African, and I've never had fish biltong. This is something I plan not to change. :)

Post authorExactly Ali! I wasn’t quite sure, but I thought at the time it was snoek. I’m hoping that someone else more knowledgeable about fish will help us out and let us know.

Look at the blueish black color on the outside of the fish, its definitely snoek.
