I remember attending a friend's wedding on the lawn in front of that old Cape Dutch building several years ago. Zevenwacht Estate in Kuilsriver is still just as beautiful as it was then, and while I haven't yet tried the estate's restaurant, I'm fairly confident that you'd enjoy a walk under the trees and among the vines, followed by a breakfast or lunch on the lawn. Give it a try. :)

Wow, what a coincidence! In March 2008, we were in Cape Town for my 50th, and took a sunset champagne cruise and met a crazy wonderful lady who just happens to work at Zevenwacht. She has an unusual addiction to a confection called called Curly Wurly and we are just about to pack some for when we are over in at the end of February, and so looking forward to seeing her.
Zevenwacht wine is delicious but the big surprise to me was the cheeses! Loved them.
It would be cool if we could get the chance to meet up as you suggested – we are over from 22nd Feb to March 9th with my daughter to make a final decision on the wedding venue.
