One of our favourite local mountain biking spots is up at Meerendal Wine Estate, behind Durbanville, along the Vissershok Road. Locals pay an annual membership fee to use the estate's trail-running and biking routes. If you're visiting from out of town, consider emailing the trail manager to check if they'll throw in a bike ride if you buy a case of their best. ;)

Ah, you’re totally right Jonathan! We’ve never done a parkrun, so I reckon it may be a really good idea. :)

I can recommend it! And despite its name, it’s totally fine to walk it too. I’m doing the root44 parkrun in Stellenbosch on Saturday, why don’t you two join me and let’s get a bite afterwards?
That would be a great idea Jonathan, except for two things:
1. We’d finish after you’d already gone home and returned all showered and refreshed.
2. The project that I’ve been working on for the better part of this year is going live this weekend. I need to baby it along into production on Saturday. :(
We should try to meet up for the next one though, even if you run ahead, go home, shower, and return for that bite. ;)
