Waterfront Water Taxi
I've been meaning to take a trip in this taxi for a while now but for some reason never get around to it. Read more about the water taxi here.
Anyone for chess?
Bottle cap’s backs
Bafana Bafana and bottle caps
Google translates our national football team's name, "Bafana Bafana" as "Boys Boys", but (not speaking Zulu) I've always understood it means "Little Men Little Men"... which is equally strange, translated without cultural meaning context. :)

Fishing boar
The t and r are real close on this querty keyboard, so I mistyped boat as boar. But, then thought it was amusing enough to leave as the title for this photo - so there you have it, that there folks is what a fishing boar looks like.

Stone Curlew babies in our garden!
This family seems to have settled in to our garden. I think our cat's afraid of the daddy bird. To be fair though, he does carry a mean scowl. :)
Service with a smile
South Africa's one of the few places where there are simply no self-service filling stations. And, this is something we could change - but then, thousands of people would be out of jobs, so we're content to keep the status quo.
And, if an attendant ever asks you if you want "the green mamba" or "creme soda", he's referring to 95 octane lead-free petrol. The first two in this photo are of the green mamba or creme soda variety.
Assemble here
Who would remember such an obscure sign in the event of an emergency? Probably nobody, I'd hazard a guess.
Noisy scary kiddies
I watched the gulls playing in the One and Only hotel's guest pool for about 15 minutes. Nobody else was around and they were having a marvelous time; well, until a family of running-screaming-laughing kids arrived - which is why they're making a run for it in this photo. Speaking of making a run for it, I wonder what birds would say - "make a flap for it"? :)
