Westin reflection
That's the Westin Grand in Cape Town. Nice picture perhaps, but the reflections look way cooler in real life. :)

Impromptu interview
As a school project the four girls in the photo were conducting interviews with female passers-by about societal pressure and how that influences how woman dress. That's Kerry-Anne on the right. :)
Surfing season is coming!
Now, I'm not a surfer, but with surfing season comes long days and warm evenings - a reprieve from the season of cold 'n rain. The sun has started rising slightly earlier and set slightly later. Only a few minutes - but this turning point in the calendar is really important for us winterphobes. :)
Not the Table Mountain I remember
It's been dreary and wintry for a while now, and I haven't been keeping an eye on that Table Mountain thing we have here in Cape Town, but can it really have changed this much?! I'm sure it used to be bigger than that. :-/

Fantastic beer at Saints Burger Joint, Eden on the Bay
I cannot lie - they do have great beer. The burgers were ok - not spectacular, just fine. Go here for the beer and the rock 'n roll though. Of the four I tasted, I think I liked Germany's Erdinger Weissbier best. :)

Market on the Wharf
Market on the Wharf is the V*A Waterfront's slow food market. If you're staying in the area, avoid the crowds and visit the market early for breakfast; there's plenty of yummy food to choose from. :)

Saviour of a country
I guess it's obvious that this statue if of late president Nelson Mandela - a freedom fighter, champion of peace, and role model for millions. We'll be hard-pressed to find another such as him.
